Okay KunmingTaste is a blog about the food here in the lovely spring city of Kunming. It will cover things such as the street food I eat and it will also have translations of menus from restaurants along with recommendations 1st up will actually be a translation of the Jack hut menu so that you can know about all the tasty drinks you might have been missing out on. Personal favorite is just chocolate qiao ke li jin ju nie cha 巧克力金桔奶 茶... or chocolate milk tea with Sago balls (I like to call anything with Sago in it a bubble cup though I've also had friends refer to them as pearl tea as well).
Dealing with street food vendors will have to wait until the Universities start up again as the good ones have moved somewhere else for now.
Some of the places I'll be dealing with are quite out of the way so I'll provide the bus numbers at the closest bus stop and directions from there.
I'll also include some of the more expensive places if i can get a hold of their menus but it's unlikely that I'll be giving any recommendations as I'm happy eating some BBQ sticks and a bowl of noodles.
